Fujifilm X-Pro1 Review - Hybrid Heaven

According to rumors from the internet, it is now possible to pre-order both the Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera body and lenses. This camera is reportedly going to bring many goodies to the playing field, so consumers that must be the first to have the new toy may want to consider preordering as soon as possible.
The Fujifilm X-Pro1 is supposed to bring a 16 MP APS-CMOS sensor, include a hybrid viewfinder, and offer three interchangeable lenses. The camera body and lenses are going to be sold separately. Lenses available will be an 18mm f/2.0, 35mm f/1.4 and a 60 mm f/2.4 Macro. Best estimates of final delivery of the camera system are pointing to March for those first preorders. If this camera is accepted and ordered as is expected, there could be some delays in receiving the camera for those who wait to order.
In addition to providing their own lenses, the rumors also state that Fuji is likely to create a bayonet adapter that will allow users to also us Leica lenses. This will make the camera body even more popular and useful.
The camera is reported to offer a hybrid viewfinder. This is likely like the one Fuji already has in use on their x100. The X-Pro 1 is likely to offer two degrees of magnification with this camera. The x0.37 is should be useful with the wider lenses and the x0.60 for all other lenses. The function can be controlled using the menu and set manually for third party lenses, like those from Leica.
The body of the Fujifilm X-Pro1 will be milled from metal, both magnesium alloys and aluminum alloys. Unlike many of the cheaper compact digital cameras on the market today, the body of this camera is designed to last a long time.
Users of this camera will be able to choose from several new film simulations and the menu offers repeated exposures. Accessories anticipated include a grip, case and a new flash as well as the three interchangeable lenses.
Many photographers have been waiting since news first leaked of the Fujifilm X-Pro1. It looks as if some will be preordering the camera body and lenses in hopes that delivery will arrive as soon as possible.
